Mitsubishi Evo Performance tips part three

So you changed the Pistons and Con Rods , as for the crank shaft , I don't think it'd be that urgent to change it , but if you have the money for it and you wanna do everything by the book then get the Stroker Crank Shaft also available at RPW but take care , if you get one that has a bigger offset then you'd have to take that in consideration when buying the con rods and pistons , you don't want to end up with an Evo that has a compression ratio of 7 or something that low!!
Also try to get some high performance bearings for the crank shaft ,it'd be safer and more durable for the engine if you did that....

Okay , so now you've changed your engine internals ( the main parts ) but not all.... what remains stock is your cam shaft , injectors , valves ,valve springs , of course you'll have to change these as well to be able to cope with the other upgrades , I recommend that you use a stage 3 Cam shafts for this kind of modification because it will be street functional and it also will be a huge compitition crushing on the drag strip...
The injectors will have to be changed as well for more flow , maybe 800 cc injectors will be more than enough ... , high pressure fuel pump is essential for this high boost levels..
Also high performance valves and valve springs are necessary to handle the pressure inside the cylinders.

So to the exciting part ... the Turbo charger itself.... well... if you want a car that has 500 HP I really recommend the Garrett turbo (GT35 series ) or any similar turbo because it's really great , gives you the power you need but still it's quick spooling for everyday driving , not very quick , but not laggy as the other big turbos and believe me you don't want a car that has tons of power but that can stall if your'e stuck in a traffic jam... and since you'll change the turbo it's better to change the exhaust header as well.... getting a Stainless steel header is the popular choice and it's a good choice as well...
